The 2009 International Symposium on
Optimization Theory, Methods and Applications (OTMA 2009) will be
held on 24-26 April, 2009 in Sanya, Hainan Island, China. It
provides three-day forum on the Optimization Theory, Method and
Applications. The theme
of the plenary session is ¡°Advances
in Optimization Theory, Method and Applications¡±
featuring invited speakers who will further explore this topic that
is so significant for this fields. Concurrent sessions and a poster
session will cover a wide range of topics and issues, including both
contributed papers and special sessions/workshops developed on
specific topics, all with a central focus of Optimization Theory,
Methods and Application.
This symposium provides an idea-exchange and discussion platform for
the world¡¯s researchers and academia, where internationally
recognized researchers and practitioners share cutting-edge
information, address the hottest issue in optimization theory and
methods, explore new optimization technologies, exchange and
build upon new ideas. And meantime the symposium will also provide
researchers and practitioners an opportunity to highlight innovative research

About
Sanya
Sanya is the
southernmost city in Hainan province, China and has an estimated
population of 485,004 (2006). After Haikou, it is the second most
populous city of the island. Sanya is revered for its tropical
climate and is a popular tourist destination, which is called as
"Oriental Hawaii".

Sanya has some of the most beautiful and well-maintained stretches
of sand not just in China but in southern Asia. The sand here is
white, palm trees provide shelter from the sun and the sea is
wonderfully blue and warm.

This is just about the only place in China with a really laid-back
feeling and atmosphere. You could spend anything from a few days to
a week or so here, soaking up the sun, relaxing and just enjoying
the unique and relaxed ambience that dominates this place.
